HP released today a list of its biggest suppliers, encompassing almost all of the company’s procurement expenditures for materials, manufacturing, and assembly of its products worldwide. It is the first major technology company to do such a thing, HP claims.
The company also announced a pilot program geared toward empowering workers, and advancing women’s health issues among the suppliers.
These initiatives are meant to promote transparency and help raise IT industry supply chain standards, and encourage other IT companies to do the same.
