Simon Fraser University is getting $325,000 in Government of Canada funding to continue their wireless research.
The money will fund an up-to-date laboratory, complete with specialized equipment such as an antenna measurement chamber, near field scanner, and optical spectrometer. The goal of the centre is to advance the province’s wireless sector competitiveness, and will house multiple research teams and development engineers that will work on designing and developing new wireless prototypes and products.
The laboratory is expected to go live this summer.
