Online RFID courses come to Canada

Banyan Commerce Corp. has partnered up with Sunnyvale, Calif.-based e-learning portal RFID4U to offer Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) training courses to Canadian enterprises and government organizations.

The Toronto-based e-commerce and RFID application provider is using it’s recently opened training division, Banyan University, to facilitate the free RFID courses. Subjects covered range from RFID basics to compliance for bigger government bodies such as the Department of Defence.

The company hopes to attract small and medium enterprises as well as government organizations. It said the courses will be the first e-learning based RFID courses in Canada.

Starting next year, Banyan said it will also be able to facilitate larger companies or governmental organizations for classroom sessions in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver.
