A10 Networks Inc., which manufactures of network traffic management appliances, has announced two products and has joined the RSA Security Inc.’s Secured Partner Program.
The San Jose, Calif.-based vendor has released the version 2.2 firmware upgrade to both its ID Secure and IDsentrie appliances.
The devices will now be able to take MAC addresses and match them to user identities from Layer 2 devices. A10 has also added to the RADIUS Authentication feature. With version 2.2, users will be able to user a network mask parameter to add thousands of network devices.
As part of the RSA Secured Partner Program, A10’s IDsentrie network identity management appliance will be certified as compliant with RSA’s SecureID specification. A10 Networks said the partnership will help users determine what their users are doing on their networks. IDsentrie includes a password manager and determines the identity of IP addresses. It includes a virtual directory and supports a variety of data stores.
RSA Security, a division of EMC Corp., says its SecureID authenticator functions like a bank machine card on a corporate network, because it requires users to identify themselves with two items (for example, a password and a PIN, plus a hardware or software authenticator) before accessing secure business information.
