For instance, the company is working with Bocom, a Chinese company, to implement the Smart City project which attempts to solve counterfeit license plate problems in China by correlating plates, car makes and models. The project involves sending images through server gates ways. One way that Intel is helping out is by enhancing chips to improve the capability to decode video.
Intel is also focusing on providing the right software tools for data centres. Earlier the company released its own distribution of Hadoop and now it is looking more closely at analytics.
